A Notary is a qualified lawyer primarily concerned with the authentication and certification of signatures and documents for use abroad.

  • Preparing and witnessing powers of attorney for use overseas
  • The purchase or sale of land or property abroad
  • Providing documents, dealing with the administration of the Estates of people who are abroad or own property abroad
  • Authenticating personal documents and information for immigration or emigration purposes or to apply to marry or to work abroad, and 
  • Authenticating company and business documents and transactions.
  • The Notary can also provide authentication and a secure record for almost any sort of transaction, document or event.

Power of Attorney Refunds

The Office of the Public Guardian (the body sponsored by the Ministry of Justice who have responsibility for registration of Powers of Attorney) have announced that they have overcharged for the registration of Powers of Attorney between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2017. This is because their operating costs reduced, but their fees did not. Accordingly, a refund can be claimed from 2nd February.
