Dispute Resolution, Property Disputes & Equine Law

Our commercial litigation work ranges from heavyweight claims in the High Court and Court of Appeal to the small claims court.

Our specialist litigators call on support and expertise where necessary from experts within the firm in company, employment and property law, and their work includes commercial property, landlord and tenant and negligence disputes.

Our commercial property work includes business lease renewals, dilapidation claims, recovery of rent arrears, possession actions, distress, peaceable re-entry and breach of covenant.

Our work with landlords includes notice periods, unacceptable behaviour, health and safety, possession actions, disrepair disputes, nuisance claims, and recovery of rent arrears.

We also act in cases relating to contractual disputes of all types, as well as professional negligence claims.

In addition, we provide incisive dispute resolution advice and representation in areas including contract, property and boundary disputes; equine issues; rights of way; easements; and removal of trespassers.

Power of Attorney Refunds

The Office of the Public Guardian (the body sponsored by the Ministry of Justice who have responsibility for registration of Powers of Attorney) have announced that they have overcharged for the registration of Powers of Attorney between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2017. This is because their operating costs reduced, but their fees did not. Accordingly, a refund can be claimed from 2nd February.
